| Service Description: | PALS (Positive Activities Lead to Success) is a children's program that strives to provide children who have experienced trauma and instability in their home lives social-emotional learning in a structured environment of nurture, creativity, and exploration. PALS welcomes children, ages 5-9, and provides them with trauma-informed programming, supported by a high staff to child ratio, so that they can return to a healthier life trajectory. Some of the services offered by PALS include; One on One time with a staff member to focus on the child's specific needs, Play Therapy with a licensed counselor, Parent Child Interactive Therapy with staff members from Denver Children's Hospital, Community events such as the annual art and talent show, Gardening and nutrition lessons with the Valley Educational Gardening Initiative (VEGI), Extracurricular activities such as sports and art classes. PALS is a La Puente Program.----------PALS (Las actividades positivas conducen al éxito) es un programa para niños que se esfuerza por brindarles a los niños que han experimentado traumas e inestabilidad en sus vidas familiares aprendizaje socioemocional en un ambiente estructurado de crianza, creatividad y exploración. PALS da la bienvenida a niños de 5 a 9 años y les brinda programación informada sobre el trauma, respaldada por una alta proporción de personal por niño, para que puedan regresar a una trayectoria de vida más saludable.
